This may sound strange, but some of my favorite dates have been when my husband I worked out together. We push each other, but it is always friendly. Sometimes we play a P90X DVD or we jump rope, lift weights, etc. It's a great way to stay in shape and it's a good example for the kids.

I discovered this far too late in life - if you want to gain muscle and lose weight, do not just concentrate on cardio. You will see much more of a change in your body if you lift heavy (dumbbells, not soup cans) and throw in cardio here and there. Also, more is not better - an hour should do the …
