My little Saturn is great on gas, about $30.00 for a full tank. Even my V8 Mustang gets good gas mileage, about $45.00 to fill up. Both cars get or exceed 35 miles to the gallon in town. With proper maintenance and some affordable upgrades most cars will get good mileage. Yes gas is high but if people would stop purchasing larger vehicles than they need and then properly maintain their car the price at the pump would not be so bad!

We're barely affording the gas to get to things like doctor appointments. No vacations for us!

We don't usually go on vacation during the summer and since we have a baby coming in less than 2 weeks, that definitely includes this year. But it has nothing to do with the cost.

We don't take one of those huge, expensive vacations far far away so we will do the same thing this year.

We'll have to make a few short day trips, rather than traveling hundreds of miles for a nice vacation.

It costs enought just driving to/from work. Vacation time will probably be spent at home or very close to it!

We aren't going anywhere! Gas prices in our area are usually lower then the avarage but today I see the best price in town was $3.79 a gal. Its sick to have to decide what elce we can do without just to fill up the tank. We all need to take a day off and refuse to drive anywhere and see how that would rock gas prices.

We just can't afford to go on vaca this year. We live out in the country, and on average lately, it costs about $10 (in gasoline) just to go to WalMart. Like another woman stated, it's either a vacation or feeding my family.
