I bought tickets for our first family vacation ever to Walt Disney World. The trip is paid for, but I am certainly worried about getting there from Arkansas as well as having enough money for the kids to have a reasonably good time. I know that this is a scary time in our economy for everyone, but I can't help but think surely our government is taking that into consideration--let's be honest--the stimulus check will do little to stimulate anything. For me it will or might get me out of the hole in my bank account!

The things that my family likes to do, don't use alot of money! We enjoy swimming, hiking, talking walks, having pinics, and going to parks!

We rent a beachfront condo in Sea Isle, NJ for a week every summer and we just booked it for this August. So the destination part of the vacation will remain the same. But we might just have to eat in all of our meals in order to cut costs to balance out the gas prices.

With a family of six we always drive to our vacation spots, but since the cost of gas is on the rise we'll be staying home and camping nearby.

My dad and I were planning to fly to Maui in July, but now the plane tickets are almost $1000 each. So I guess we won't go until those ticket prices drop a little. It's really a shame because I had really high hopes. However the next best thing to Maui beaches are California beaches, considering the fact I live very close to them.

We usually spend warm weather holidays on our boat on KY Lake. These gas prices are making us reconsider. For Memorial Day Weekend, we just stayed at home and had a bonfire with our neighbors. Thank goodness hotdogs are cheaper per pound than gas costs per gallon!

We usually go back home for a week but driving the 800 miles this year is just not in the budget. It breaks our hearts this year as my in-laws are selling the house at the end of this summer and moving. Their house has been in my husbands family for over 75 years.

We booked our Sept Florida vacation in early February. We are staying at family home, so the cost to sleep is minimal, plane fare was also cheaper than now. Changed size of rental car from intermediate to compact, saved $100, but it will be put in the gas tank.

I usually take a series of little road trips every year. I am definitely going to cutback with the price of gas. Crazy!

I got gas in my Dodge Grand Caravan a week ago and it cost me over $60 to fill it up. Two days later I was at a half a tank and it cost over $40. This is getting rediculous.
