My high school math teacher encouraged me to attend advanced math classes which lead to meeting new friends and learning to socialize with others. It also helped me enjoy math more and opened me up to more advanced lessons. She made a positive impact to my life.

Mrs. Poe, my 4th grade teacher. She was black, and heard another kid, not me, call a black child the n word. She then explained to the class, why that was wrong. She also read the dictionary definition of the word. I was taught, never to be a racist.
