    I wore uniforms though my school career EVEN high school! Now with my own children NOT having to wear uniforms I feel that life was easier with uniforms and I wish mine were wearing them!

    I think uniforms are a good idea because you don't have to worry about what to wear and all are dress the same so no competition with your clothes.

    I believe in freedom of expression. Put children in uniforms doesn't let them have individuality.

    Absolutely in favor of school uniforms . I wore one for my entire elementary and high school and never had to worry about what to wear and did not have to feel the pressure of having to keep up to date with the latest style and labels as some did. :)

    I wore a uniform for a few years and I didn't wear a uniform for more years. Personally I am in favor of uniforms because they are easier on the parents' budgets and I think the kids are cute all in their matching outfits.

    when i was a young girl back in the 50s i went to catholic school and i wore a uniform just like this and to tell the truth i hated wearing the same thing every day although it looked nice but i rather wear regular clothes like in public school ahich i did get to do just that in middle school!!

    Uniforms are great. Every student should wear one. It is more affordable than most school wardrobes and keeps the focus on learning.

    I went to both private and public school. Although its nice to wear what you want, I much preferred a uniform. Especially now when girls can wear pants too! Sure you want to be an individual, but with the way kids are being bullied, I'd rather not give them the chance to tease someone because they can't afford name brands. Perhaps some schools can have casual Fridays like at work. I think for many families uniforms are a necessity to save money.

    As a public high school teacher, I never thought the day would come where I would be uniform-pro, but that day has come. Too often I see students who cannot afford/do not want the latest jacket, sneakers, sweater, etc. and they feel ostracized by their peers. A uniform uniform would alleviate this situation, leaving the weekends and vacations for individual dress.

    I did not wear a uniform but think its a good idea since there is so much bullying and peer pressure to fit it based on clothing, style.
