I never wore uniforms. I am not for them or against them. I can see the benefits of both sides.

I think uniforms are a great idea !! Keeps kids from picking on others because of clothing, shoes, bags, etc. It also makes the students adhere to the dress code. No trying to put togegher the prrfdct outfit before school--it's already done for you. I wish my kids' school system would switch to uniforms !!!

I am against school uniforms. I didn't wear one growing up. Even though I was a poor kid and could not afford the latest fashions, I see uniforms as a way of taking away individuality. By the way, my children are homeschooled.

I wore uniforms in my elementary and middle school years because i was in a private school but when I went to high school, which was public, I felt more pressured to wear expensive name brands just to fit in. I am in favor of uniforms so the pressure of being with the "in" crowd because of your clothing is taken out of the equation.

I think affordable uniforms is the way to go. Too much judgement going on by others with what you are (or aren't wearing). Everyone is on more equal ground.
