They have lots of choices and my daughter knows what she wants and what to pick. But, she usually brown bags it.

Right now I think the meals are a little healthier but the flavor is bland and boring, so they definitely could use some improvements.

I think things have improved--the menu includes whole grains and more fruits and vegetables. Apples are excellent quality from a local orchard, which is a nice option. On the whole, however, there is still room for improvement. I feel like the changes have been around the edges rather than to the core of the menu. My son actually brings his lunch nearly every day. Many kids do purchase the school lunches, though, so I think it's important that they provide better quality food and better nutrition.

It seems like there is a lot of variation during the month; however, I am planning on packing her lunch for most of the year.

I would not feed that food to a dog. It is often bad under or overcooked, bland, and slopped together. But in Nevada they don't care about the children or the teachers. The government and superintendent just want a fatter check, so they cut from what is really important.
