My son is in his last year as a home-schooled student. But when he did attend school, years back, the food wasn't too appetizing. I saw most kids throw it away. I think it has gotten a bit better due to the trend to eat healthier. BTW, when I was in school way back in the late '60s and '70s, I never bought lunch from the cafeteria!!!

Their food is gross! Lots of carbs and very little veggies or protein....unless they are offering a salad bar!

They do a great job of keeping the food healthy and making the students want to eat it.

They have a lot of healthy foods but sometimes I think they are given a lot of chicken but comes in a variety of ways & flavors. They also are given fruits and vegetable. My kids usually eat at school and if it's something they don't want or will eat they bring a lunchbox.

I would enjoy the selection myself, but my child doesn't like that some teachers tell kids they have to eat their food. Also, they have to take a fruit and a vegetable. My child packs most days because she doesn't like this. Neither do I. I think she should be able to eat only what she wants & would rather her not take it if she won't eat it.
