We only have one trip "planned" and are really shopping around for deals on hotels and such. With gas so high, distance is the biggest factor of course. We are keeping an eye on airline and hotels rates before making a final decision.

It is hard enough to fill up the tank once a week just to do the usual things such as picking up the kids from school and buying groceries, usual necessities, even bought a bicycle to cut cost as well as planted a GARDEN much alone to go on a vacation.

We had planned on going to Jamaica this summer but with the rising costs of just about everything, we're not going to be able to do it. We may end up just going somewhere local to just take a break from the everyday schedule.

Our summer 'vacation' plans consist mostly of playing in the backyard swimming pool and flying kites at the park. Fortunately for us, neither of those things involve paying for gas!

This summer we are planning more outdoor family activities. The local nature preserve offers really great classes that both my husband and I enjoy doing with the kids. Travel (car or plane) is way too expensive right now to plan another big family get-away!

I saved enough money for my vacation this year. I have two choices and I just need the break!

We have decided to take a vacation a little closer to home due to the cost of gas.We vacation usually in October so it depends on the price per gal of gas at that time as if we go or not.

My new husband and I just got back from our honeymoon to London, Scotland, and Dublin. It was . . . pretty painful, to say the least, but (of course) it was an experience of a lifetime!

We were going to spend our tax rebate on a weekend trip to an aquarium (either Atlanta, GA or Tampa, FL) with our girls. But now we have to use that money to buy gas and other essentials that just seem to keep going up in price.

There is one trip that we MUST take each year, luckily though it's only 1½ hr drive to/from, so it's not that bad. We'll be cutting back on everything else though.
