Definitly in favor of (affordable) uniforms. I remember the peer pressure of wearing the 'right' clothes. My family couldn't afford those labels. It made me unhappy.
My kids don't wear uniforms yet as they are still in public school
I am against uniforms I think they don't look good.
I didn't wear a uniform and I really don't believe they are that helpful to educating our youth.
I did not wear a uniform to school and everyone always was really dressed up for school then in the late 80's early 90's at my school. Kids today don't seem to care what they look like. We also looked much older than our ages than kids do today. I don't have children so I don't have to worry about it, but would not want my kids to have to endure uniforms. It takes away individuality.

i wore a school uniform and wud love to see all schools enforcing it!
I'm pretty much mixed on this. I see the need for them and think they are a good idea because there wouldn't be any gloating over who has what designer label and who doesn't. On the flip slide, there might be some families out there that can't afford to buy uniforms.
I am not in favor of uniforms. I think kids should be able to choose what they wear as long as in meets the school regulations
I never wore a uniform and when they started it for my grandkids, I thought it was silly. But now I see it is great and much better than the old way. There is none of that nonsense of showing off that girls always seemed to do in the old days, and it certainly does help the parent's pocketbooks. And a second plus is how neat and together they all look now coming out of middle and high school!
