Here in midcontinent, we'll probably have a late effect, but I'm sure we'll get something!

8" of snow outside my house, up to 26" of snow around my state, and hundreds of thousands of people without power (state of emergency). Cold, cold, cold!

Here in Queens, NY watching the aftermath of a terrible hurricane. Trains and many bus routes are disabled. Lots of fallen trees and debris in my area. The worst is over but now the clean-up is going to take days. Many in Staten Island, The Rockaways, and Manhattan have no electricity. My heart goes out to those people who have had their homes ruined by the strong winds and rain. I know there were fatalities but not sure how many.

We live on Marthas Vineyard and had high winds and costal flooding but made it through without loosing trees or power. Glad that Sandy is over.
