I see people reading books, eating food, texting, watching tv (yes) and once saw a man shaving his head as he drove,. S. Florida drivers do so much other than paying attention to driving. I don't even talk on the cell phone when driving I pull over. I am easily distracted.

I USED to talk on speaker phone while driving, but I stopped after I had a scare. As I was driving, the phone slid on my middle console; I reached to catch it and almost rear-ended the car suddenly stopping in front of me. Now, I don't even answer my phone when driving - although I am thinking of getting one of those holders that clip to the dash. I don't even know how safe that is because my niece has a Bluetooth connection in her car & I get nervous as a passenger when she uses that. (Remember when we had no choice & just had to wait to get to a phone? Maybe that's the mentality we ought to use with our cells. I'm thinking of that old saying of my mother's: Just because you CAN do something doesn't always mean you should.)

I never even reach for my cellphone while driving. In my opinion, no one needs to answer a phone call or text that bad until the car is no longer running. The makeup thing is ridiculous. The only thing I have done is eat while driving, but things like fries or protein bars that don't make it as difficult to steer. I am surprised blasting music is not listed as a choice, that seems pretty dangerous as well.

I can't do any of these things. I tried the texting a few times when I was in my 20's before I had kids. I'm sorry, nothing can be more important than paying attention and not wanting to end a life. Is texting or doing any of those things worth your life and possibly someone elses?? It's not worth it. Same as those who choose to run lights. It's not worth it, ever!

I admit I've munched on fries while driving and grabbed for the burger when the light turned red. As soon as the light changes though the burger goes back in the bag (folded down ready to grab) but the fries stay within reach. It is such a luxery where I can get drive-thru that I can't wait until I get home.

the only time you should be allowed to use your phone while driving is if you have a blue tooth, but that's my opinion
