My first job was working in the cafeteria in high school during breakfast and lunch. Got paid minimum wage, I also worked at Burger King while in school then switched to Safeway. I loved working as a teenager D:
I worked at a snowball stand when I was young.
Might sound like I was a weird teenager, lol, but I loved working. Started with a little but hard core gig called "branch tieing" at age 12! It consisted of tying grapevine branches around the lined wires all acrooss the fields. Yea it was hard work but I liked waking up early with that great smell of coffee coming from the kitchen where my mother prepared delicious lunches for the day. I wasn't forced to work, I liked helping and took pride in contributing. Best part was pay day, ofcource.
Various - babysitting, painting, gardening, office work, library assistant.
Babysitting - and I did a lot of it as that was really the only opportunity for girls my age where I lived. We got to know who was the best paying and who left treats, such as box of chocolates, for the babysitter. I remember one family even left me a small gift for watching their children at short notice. I was the envy of my friends. It is funny to look back on that now!!
movie theatres and canneries were where I spent my summers.
I worked at Office Max until a year ago. Love my co-workers hate retail.
My first summer job was in A&S Dept stores --which doesn't even exist anymore...boy am I showing my age!! :)
I worked at kids camps and summer school. Loved working with the little kids.
