We dont take formal vacations but long weekends - stay-cations if you will... its more about who your with than what you do.
We haven't been on a vacation away from home in over ten years. We always take a week off in the Spring together, and usually a week off in the summer together. I also take the week of Thanksgiving off. I work 4 day weeks, so often I'll take a Monday off and have a 4-day mini vacation. During those times off of work we do fun things in our city (museums, antique shops, movies, restaurants, etc).
We try to take our vacation in the summer when we have the money so we can go to the beach.
I wish we could all take a vacation maybe once the house is paid off.
We are taking another cruise this year....I love cruises so I can't wait!!
Going to the Bahamas (3rd cruise so far) and New Orleans. More places to be announced. Can't Wait
Does a regular vacation count if it is only once every 5-10 years???? Huh?
love spring and fall favorite seasons of the year nice to go out and enjoy the weather love being outside at these times
We go to Lincoln City, OR in October for about a week and then have a shorter trip in April or May. We started going just one time a year but recently started going twice as we both love the ocean. We take overnight trips to local casinos...Pendleton, OR, Spokane, WA, Snoualmie, WA
We go back to England at least once a year and usually this is in the fall or in November. This way we get cool weather without the real cold plus we are able to stock up on food items for Christmas. We have found the weather during this time is much better than any other time in the year - meaning less rain. Since we live in Florida we tend to look for places that are cooler than what we get here. We tend to shy away from taking summer vacations as that is what most everyone else does.
