Being a high risk breast cancer patient, I have to be sure that I get regular exams. I've had 3 lumpectomies also. So far I have been very fortunate. I believe that every woman should check themselves or have a doctor check them.  No woman ever wants to even think about this horrible disease.  If checked regularly, if they are unfortunate & get it, at least it will be caught early.
