Without our servicemen and women, we would be nowhere. We owe them, especially the individuals that have been wounded and whose lives are forever altered.

It's the worst feeling in the world to feel hunger and not be able to afford anything to eat.

I have military children and pray for their safe return each deployment literally in one piece. My heart goes out to the families that endure the horrors of war coming back with missing limbs etc. I must say though, when I wanted to donate the $18 monthly to Wounded Warriors as the commercials were speaking of, every military person I know said not to. Why? All insisted that the 'families' actually only get a tiny percent of the money. The majority of it goes to the airtime for these commercials as well as the people that organize it. If you truly want to donate to these families, please give it to them personally. I chose to feed the children as there are over 20,000 homeless hungry children in my state alone and can only imagine how many across the country. Meals are necessary continuously!

Wounded Warriors put their lives at risk to try to protect our freedom. They deserve help and respect from all Americans. Their families must also endure the heartbreak seeing their loved one wounded. God Bless them and thank you. Happy to see She Speaks honor them.

Our wounded warriors have given so much to keep our country safe from those you have decided that the United States are their enemy. Yet, when help is needed, who do they turn to? I appreciate more than mere words can express everything that these heroes and their families have given up for me and the US of A!

it is hard to see families going hungry and there is nothing worse than not being able to feed your family. I know I have been in that situation. I made too much money for food stamps and not enough money to feed my family. so I am choosing the charity that feeds others. each charity is important but having been in this situation, this is near and dear to my heart.

There are a lot of hungry people in the world, especially around the holidays. I've seen people standing on streets many times holding signs that said will work for food. I think that is so sad.
