My parents would rarely let us eat sugar cereals as a kid, so it was such a treat. Now, I don't like them, which I suppose is a sad sign of age!
My parents RARELY let us eat sugar cereal. It was plain oatmeal w/ fresh fruit, Wheaties or All Bran (aka poop cereal), maybe Cheerios or puffed wheat or puffed rice on occasion.
My mom would make us eat Corn Flakes at home but we had a long-time babysitter who would buy us each (I have two siblings) our own box of cereal. So we picked out our favorites for her house. I always loved Chocolate Pebbles!
My favorite sweet kiddie cereal is Coco Pebbles. My very favorite is Great Grains Raisin Dates Pecans, definitely not a kiddie cereal!
Most of them were good, until they changed the recipes..
Sugared cereal were a treat my brothers and I got only on Saturday mornings in our home. Otherwise, we had corn flakes, kix, rice crispies. Love the memories of those mornings - I chose Fruit Loops above. Now I eat healthier cereals such as Kashi and really like them.
Cinnamon Toast Crunch is an amazing treat that is beyond delicious. I eat it as a snack instead of cookies or other sweets. It does have some nutrition, as well as crunchy almost fried sweetness. YUM.
Captain Crunch is a rare treat in our house!
I always loved Apple Jacks.
I generally don't like sweetened cereals; but if I had to eat one, it would be Frosted Flakes or Captain Crunch.
