I have very curly, short hair, so a hat really makes my hair look like a mop when I take off the hat. I find that putting up a hood keeps my curls lively, yet still keeps my head warm. We do what we have to.........

If it keeps my ears and face warm, I am not worried too much about what my hair looks like. I find that if I turn my head upside down and fluff up my hair after wearing a hat, it is not as obvious.

I typically wear loose hats if any!

I'm with you, Autumnkat - hats flatten my curls! Keeping warm is my number one but I do look like a mop most winter days. Then again, the humidity of summer makes me look pretty mop-like too :)
