I love Halloween. I used to love decorating my house & front porch with Halloween fun.. but my neighborhood is primarily made up of old people & grouches. No one does Halloween & therefore, kids don't come to this area any more. We stopped decorating about 5 years back & take our own kids to an entirely different neighborhood to trick or treat. I am anxiously awaiting the change over in my 'hood. :)
It is hard when most of the kids in the neighborhood grow up. The neighborhood is not as attractive to kids from other areas and therefore, there are not many trick or treaters. I still have candy available -- just in case, and I still do some decorating.
I love Halloween besides my birthday and x-mas I always have a party and pass candy out to kids with Costumes!!
What other day of the year can you dress up and be anyone you ever wanted to be for a day?? :) ....plus what other day of the year can you knock on a strangers door, be greeted with a smile and get a nice treat to boot? And maybe make a new friend of a neighbor you hadn't met before.
Halloween is so scary, lol. I don't care for it but, the kids love it. I make sure to have lots of fantastic candies for everyone. I just don't like those realistic looking costumes, lol.
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Candy and Costumes, you can't go wrong. I love to see the kids so excited to say trick or treat and get candy, costumes are requirement at my door!
We love Halloween. We decorate the front yard every year with scary good fun, everyone seems to love it. We are a go to neighborhood so we get a lot of kids coming to our door so there is never any left over candy in our cauldron.
we are the only family with kids for a 2 mile radius, needless to say, in our subdivision no one buys candy or gives it out, so we trick or treat somewhere else.
This is our first year trick or treating since we moved from another state. We aren't too familiar with the neighborhood still, so we are going to a community hosted event on Halloween.
