My daughter is grown now, but when she was little, my husband and I would occasionally take her to work with us for a little while. She especially liked going with my husband who was a university professor.

I am a stay at home mom, but if I had a job outside the home, I would most definitely take my child out of school to go and check out what I did. =) I think its great that kids can have an opportunity to see what their parents do at work, so they can actually understand/comprehend what it is they do when they aren't with the kids! =)

I would take my daughter if she was a little bit older...the few times she's been in my office she's just colored but all day would get tiring (and no work done!)

My kids are too young to learn much from the experience.

I do not have a job that would allow my children to shadow me all day. If I had a career like a sit down job and a boss who would approve, then I would difinitely take my boys.

My parents took me to work all the time. And take me to business lunches and meetings. My grandmother was a company President, she used to sit me at the head of the Boardroom table and then we'd go to her office while she worked. I learned so much from that exposure that has made me successful today. I'm constantly reminded of things I learned from going to work with them.
