What age are bikinis ok for girls?
Yes, it is totally innocent (9.5%)
It is ok, as long as they are comfortable (18.2%)
No, they should be wearing more clothes (21.1%)
It all depends on what the bikini looks like (51.5%)
There is something to be said for leaving something to the imagination.
i believe they should be wearing a swim suit...not a bikini that could fall off the shoulders or strings that could be pulled off... i don't know what sick people there could be out in the beach...
I can recall being 13 and my parents not allowing me to wear bikini's. I thought they were far too strict for making me wear a one-piece, while my friends wore bikini's, but looking back, I don't blame them.
My 6 and a half year old wears a monokini. However I feel once they start developing it is not appropriate to wear something like a string bikini. There are too many crazy people out there. It's quite different now than when I grew up!
My 8 year old wears a bikini at home or when going to a private home. She knows that when we are out in public, she needs more coverage. Once she is old enough to realize a bikini is "sexy", she will not own one. Probably by next summer. Right now, it's just fun to wear, she is not trying to look good for anyone.
I think as long as it does not look to revealing wearing a bikini should be okay.
As long as the bikini is appropriate I dont see anything wrong with it...Nothing too revealing is ok...
