Have you used Rainbow Flip Flops or Sandals?

My chiropractor recently told me that I need to stop wearing flip flops because the arches in my feet are dropping which will cause knee problems. I am only 18 years old and flip flops are all I wear in the summer! Has anyone ever tried the rainbow flip flops? They are quite expensive ($50) but supposedly have an arch support. Do they work?

I've bought them, but I haven't really worn them. They fit really tightly at first because they are suppose to conform to your feet. I haven't worn them enough to get to the conforming part. :)

Rainbows are all I wear. They are really pricey but once you break them in they are so worth it. I don't think that any flip flop can truly offer any real chiropractic benefits though. The footbed conforming to your foot shape may be enough to help in your instance but do not have any illusions, they are board flat when you purchase them just the same as the $2.50 old navy ones.

I live at the shore, and my girls and I love Rainbows....The arch support is ok but not the best....I would suggest checking out "Therafit" though. I have a pair of those and they have great arch support.

I am not familiar with Rainbow but I can vouch for Dawgs Z sandal. They are by far the most comfortable footwear I have worn. They are not a flip flop but more of a slide in type sandal.

I can wear the Rafters and Yellow Box flip flops. They aren't quite as pricy as Rainbows. I think they have great arch support. I have a bad knee and regular flip flops were making it hurt. I can walk in the Yellow Box flip flops all day!

I have problems with my feet and love my flip flops but of course I wear the crappy kind that don't have any support but then one day a friend of mine recommend Croc flips flops and I'm glad she didn't because they are so comfortable and great support.

I really wanted to get a pair of rainbows because I also have heard such good things about them. I am so bummed though that they don't come in half sizes. The M are too small and the L are too big :( I live in Reef's. They aren't as pricey as rainbows but they are so comfortable and they last forever!

I've never tried them but for support I don't think any flip flop is going to help.

I love Rainbow Flip Flops. I have collapsing arches as well. I don't know that they are good for arch support.. better than most flip flops, but just because flip flops are not good for arch support. As flip flops though, Rainbows are great. They have a lifetime warranty and they are very well made. Mine lasted a few years until I lost them with no issues. I will be buying new ones again someday. They are worth the money. Some boutiques may have them on sale for $25-40... a little cheaper?
