Plus Size chaos

I'm a plus size girl (18-20) and dread shopping! Unless my husband goes with me and we spend a whole day looking together, I will not shop. I seem to find something wrong with every single thing, like nothing can look good on me. After a while I may find something that looks decent but I start to feel so down on myself that it no longer looks cute because I find myself frumping around or just not caring. I would love to lose weight, but I really don't have the time or money to go to the gym (or other exercise routine). Plus, when I was younger I was a size 3 and still thought I was a complete monstrosity. Does any of the plus size girls have any style tips or ideas on where to shop so I don't have a complete nervous breakdown by just the thought? I want to feel good about myself, but don't know how.

I like to shop online. Two of my favorite sites are Modcloth.com and ShopRuche.com, both have a limited selection of plus size clothing, Modcloth's selection seems to be growing by the day. I know a lot of people seem to like Forever 21+ (forever21.com), to be honest I never find anything there. Modcloth has free return and online assistants to discuss the fit of a piece of clothing before you buy.

My favorite place to shop for clothes online is greatglam.com. they have a lot ton of clothes and the majority of it is exclusive so no one else has it. And they usually only have like a set amount of each item so not everyone has that same one. But the great things about them is they have a plus size section but all there clothes you cant help but feel sexy in. When I first looked at their site just the look of the clothes had me expecting to not be able to afford it but nothing costs more than $35 which I still have a hard time believing. You should see my fridge, they send a magnet it my order every time so my fridge is covered in them. I should warn you though if your anything like me, once I get on their site to look around at whats new (they add something like 130 new items each week) I can't pull myself away. The list is endless, the clothes are cheap yet better looking than I personally have ever been able to find at the local mall. I recomend at least giving it a look.

Oh and if you are worried about the clothes fitting, I was at first too but since it was so cheap and I really liked this one shirt I went for it. The have a great refund policy but out of. All the clothes I have gotten I never had to. The material always seems to have a little give both ways so even if I gain or lose a couple pounds here and there it still fits. If you end up checking it out you should let me know what you thought and if any of my long winded rambling was helpful.

I shop at torrid. You can shop online or in a store. I love most of their clothing. I was a small size (6) until I had my kids lol and I know how you feel. I've come to love my curves and as long as me and the hubby are happy with them I don't care what anyone else thinks.

Follow plus sized fashionistas on social media. You can get outfit inspiration and see real life examples of women who are plus sized but uber confident and fashionable. Just stop the self hatred. Journal everyday and list 5 things you like about yourself or that you are fortunate to have. Keep reinforcing positive ideas about yourself. Remind yourself daily of what you have and not what you wish you had. There is someone out there dying to be where you are. If you want more advice email me ebonymhope@aol.com (that goes for anyone reading this)😘 I am a plus sized woman who's passionate aboit helping other plus sized women.

I found a great plus size store in the mall that I took my mom to. The clothing were very well made and shaped perfectly to look good on fuller figure girls. Also have you considered gwynniebee or other clothing membership.

I was wondering the same thing. I have found several items at Debs, Maurices, and in department stores plus sized sections. I looked at the suggested sites and greatglam has some nice things although alot of them are a bit risky/low cut for me. Modcloth has some very nice dresses that are appropriate for date night or work that I think I may order from. Shopruche has some nice casual shirts that I could dress up with slacks and a pair of heels.

Also for swimsuits I like to shop at swimsuitsforall.com as they only sell plus sized swimwear and I can make my own outfit with the bottoms and top that I want.
