Hello Beauties, I am wondering if any of you subscribe to either monthly and quarterly product, makeup-up, skincare subscription programs? If so which ones ie: NewBeauty Test Tube , Cravebox , Eco-Emi. Julep Which ones do you subscribe to and what is your personal opinion of them, what is the cost and how or where can these "sampling" programs be found? Is there any coupon codes or benefits of perks to know before joining them? I think this not only will help me but help other ladies get through the confusion of choosing which programs to join with! Thanks!

I have Birchbox and MyGlam ($10/month) for a year. MyGlam mostly gets bad reviews, but I haven't had issues. I love Birchbox, $10 a month or $110 for a year, with reward points for reviews and purchases. Sample Society ($15/mo) gets some of the best reviews, but there is always a waiting list. You can get your first month free with Julep (I think $19/mo) by using the code PENNY, and then keep or skip months as you like. Beauty Fix is quarterly ($49.99) and a great deal; you can also skip quarters as you like. On makeuptalk.com, they have a comprehensive list with reviews and photos of all. Conscious Box gets the best reviews for an eco-friendly sub, although Eco-Emi and White Apricot's Green Grab Bag rate high also. Glossybox gets great reviews in other countries and is supposed to open up to USA soon. Stay away from Makeup Monthly and GoGoGirlfriend. For skincare, I think the two best are Beauty Fix and Beauty Army. Goodebox, The Look Bag, Platinum Box and Cravebox get mixed reviews.

Thank you for your reviews! It seems like you have tried and researched a good amount of these. I just went to Julep and and ordered for my first month using the discount code Penny and it only cost me a penny! They tell you what you will get in your box, and I can't wait to try it. Thank you so much for the code tip..you made my day = )

There's a code for the BeautyFix spring box, BFMKUP for $20 off. I like it because a majority are full sized products, and you choose all of your items, so you can't get a bad box. Most boxes are easily worth well over the $50 too. Overall it seems that for a "sample" subscription more people tend to like Birchbox both for the samples, customer service, and rewards program. (You get points per box and review, and you can use those towards a purchase of the full size products.) BeautyArmy can be a hit or miss - you choose 6 things from a list of 9, so there's not a lot of wiggle room if you don't like everything you can choose from. About gogogirlfriend, I saw a couple boxes that other girls got. You're basically paying $13-14/box for a selection of dollar store items in sample size. You might get more stuff, but I can't shake the feeling that the $13 went to the dollar store and tried to buy as many things as possible while staying under budget.

I got in on Cravebox on the beta test for $10.00 a month, with free shipping. The majority of the items are full size items. The last box was a mix of travel size and full size items, but still worth the price. I know that Cravebox said they will be opening up the subscription soon, so it's worth the time to sign up and get on their email list. I tried Birchbox and was not happy with the first box I got and the one my sister got the same month was worse than mine, so we both canceled. I have been looking for other "box" sites, so will try some of the ones listed here.

I also started getting Cravebox on the beta test for $10 a month and love it. The first month a 1 yr subscription to Prevention Mag was included. So far I have gotten 2 and am expecting my third any day now. I also get NewBeauty TestTube which comes every 3 months at $29.95 and I have not had any complaints. The products were things I would not have tried on my own and have fallen in love with. In the testtube you also get a $50 giftcard to use. I am also a member of The Look Bag which is more about cosmetics but what is cute they also send info cards on how to use the products. This one is from Damone Roberts who is the EyeBrow King and this is also $10 a month. I signed up for JewelMint but was not happy with my 1st box so I called and they were nice enough to cancel it with no problem and return my money. I may have to check out the other ones I read about here.

I tried birch box and was so disappointed. I emailed them and they could care less. I cancelled immediately.

There's also voxbox which you don't have to pay anything for. You do need to make videos reviewing and unboxing what you get though. Its through the site influenster. I currently get birch bocx and the March one is pretty good it came with sunscreen wipes, a facial cleanser, and some fruity teas that I might actually buy. I didn't like 2 of the 5 boxes so far, but I won't quit until I get into myglam bag. I also used to get eco emi and liked it, but I haven't used some things like proteing powder(not like shakes, but powder that you have to put into foods) and some soap that made me itch, and things like that. I am signed up for voxbox but you have to wait until you fit their criteria for boxes(do you have pets, kids, or are you green?) I hope this helps! I make beauty videos on youtube, so please check out my channel sometime!
