Always tell your loved ones you love them when saying goodbye (i.e. leaving the house, talking on the phone, etc.)

My mom always taught me to be independent and not rely on a man. This really stuck with me and led me to a great education and wonderful career. Financial independence is a blessing

If you are always the one to put forth the effort first and invite people over you will be the crazy glue that holds our family together. I to this day am still the crazy glue.

My mom is my cornerstone. NO matter how bad things seem, she is able to pull me out of feeling bad and set me straight. She and my grandma (who survived Nazi occupation) are my amazing strong examples of real women.

My mom always said to do the best you can in school and as long as you pass you don't need to make A's. Growing up she said to always wear clean underwear and to remember to clean the dryer vent. I know these are silly little things but I've always remember to clean the dryer vent!
