don't leave the fridge open, close the lights when you leave and room and always use a bathroom when available.

Mom was a Girl Scout Leader. She taught everyone to leave a place in better condition than when you arrive. For example, do a little extra cleaning when you clean up your own mess. Or to take along a bag to pick up trash when you take a nature walk. Even small steps made by many make a big difference.
