We have a HUGE Earth Day event that goes all weekend that I attend and volunteer at each year. Volunteer in the community gardens in my community, both educate children and extras go to the churches food pantry. I also volunteer my time to help update and proof the organic societies website and other newsletters when needed.

We compost as much as we can and planted wildflowers for the bees.We take our own bags to grocery store.

One of the biggest things that we do, all the time, not just one day a year, is to reuse & recycle as much as we can. There is no pick up of recyclables here, so we keep large trash bins in our shed & sort out the items there. Once a month, I load up the car & take them into the recycling center. We also try to shop for things secondhand, before buying new as much as possible, & many of our furnishings, decor, & clothing have all come from secondhand sources.

We do recycling/repurposing of items we or others throw out...or that we have found. and after repurposing items, they are sometimes sold and the money put to charities.
