Hello ladies, curious to know if any of you are currently subscribed to Ipsy's glam bag program. If so, please give me so input on it. I was wondering how many full size makeup products you recieve as compared to smaller sample/travel sizes? Is it worth the $10.00 fee every month? Do you ever recieve the same product twice, like one mascara in june and the same one in october? Fair vs. Light? I'm usually under the category of "ivory or fair/light" so i really don't know what to choose. I don't want to pick the wrong color. They'll keep sending you your glam bags untill you cancel, like years of new different products? If any of you could shed some light on any of these questions it'd be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!:)! Tami

I have received a quad eyeshadow set, a sea salt spray, eye liner, lip liner, lip products, and nail colors. I actually really love Ipsy, and for $10 a month, you can't beat it. I've also heard Sephora is coming out with their Play! subscription beauty box going live next month, check it out if you're on the fence as far as which one to go for! If you're a big makeup fan like me, I think Ipsy is your best bet. Everything else is geared towards more skin products than anything.

I received my first ipsy bag today. .. I'd heard its the best verses Birch. In my bag there was a small. ..well say "travel sized" bottle of hair spritzer with biotin, a kinda dark lip gloss, face wash that smelled kinda granola citrus, black liquid eye liner pen, and a dark brownish purple polish. Im not listing brands cause it's not in front of me. So far, im pleased. The polish I may or may not use since I sale Jamberry and prefer wearing wraps to polish. I really like the liner, it's pretty much like the brand I use. Not sure why such a dark lipgloss in early August but it is pretty and I might wear it later in winter. I like the spritzer too. So basically I like 3 out of 5 products. Nothing got me super excited. The bag was cute. Im going to keep it and see what next month brings. But thought Id share for those on the fence. I will say I was super excited to get it but wasnt that super exciting once I got it.

My article on this is long, because I am very detailed (on everything). If you're trying to decide between Ipsy and Birchbox, I break down six boxes and compare the programs. http://dealstoogoodtopassup.com/category/subscription-boxes/ipsy/

I am looking forward to Play as well. It is only starting in 2-3 markets (cities) next month, but I will subscribe when it launches nationally in 2016 unless I do not like what I see from the first few boxes.

Hey! I've been an Ipsy member for a few years now. It's an awesome program! So many of my current favorites have come in my Ipsy bag. Typically, Ipsy sends about five products each month, three of which are full size. You DEFINITELY get your money's worth! You fill out surveys, so the products sent to you are often geared toward your taste. As you review more products that you receive, Ipsy begins to accumulate more detailed information on what you do and don't like. If you say you're fair, they should send you things accordingly. If not, you just say in the review on the website that the color was too dark so they'll know for next time :) They never send you the same product twice, and if they do they send you something to compensate you (usually another free full-sized product). I'd love it if you signed up using my referral link! :* https://www.ipsy.com/new?refer=5qfb Thanks! Hope I helped.

I was subscribed to ipsy for 6 months and loved it. Most of what I received was full size and I went on to check out the price of the items and most of the time the items cost more than $10. For example I got an amazing brush one month I looked it up and it was $10 so it was like I bought the brush and got 4 other products for free. Another month I got a full size dry shampoo that was $25. Before I subscribed to ipsy I watched YouTube videos of beauty gurus opening ipsy and birchbox which helped decide to go with ipsy. I choose to try ipsy because it seemed like ipsy gave more makeup while birchbox gave more skin and hair care products.

I am a HUGE Michelle Phan fan! Love ipsy. Definitely one of the better box subscription services.
