Do you prefer a dog or a cat as a pet and why?

I don't have any pets, but it would definitely be a dog because I am allergic to cats!

My preference is for a cat. I live in an apartment building and I see the people with dogs go in and out all winter long. I simply keep the litter box clean and my girl is happy for the winter staying inside!!

I used to be a dog lover but that was before I had cats. I'm a cat person because their personalities fit mine much more than dogs do. I love dogs also but I'll always choose cats over dogs.

I've always been a dog girl. They just have more personality. Cats are just so clingy and forceful, at least in my experience. Dogs play, give love, are loyal, and generally happy. Cats need love given to them, and it's always on their clock lol. Have you ever tried to love on a cat when it wasn't asking for it? You just get the cold shoulder and they walk away. Cats aren't terrible, but I enjoy having interactions and receiving the love more than the alternative. :)

I grew up with cats, and always wanted a dog. I'd have to say dog after having one the past 8 years. Mine is a chihuahua mix, so he's cat sized and is absolutely wonderful! The best of both worlds - cat sized, but with a dog's personality.

I have always been a cat lady and had many growing up at my grandmothers house. There were alot of cats and dogs. I'm 36 now and me and my boyfriend finally got a Kitty named Moopee over a year ago. He didn't care for cats, and more of a dog lover. Well after 7 years I finally got him on my side and now he is a huge cat fan. Moopee is our fur baby. Cat people all the way....but I do love dogs too:)
