Hi!! I have a busy busy busy life. I work FT at home doing customer service through arise.com ... but I also home school my 11 and 9 year old. None of my friends have this kind of life. They just don't get it when I'm exhausted. They do one or the other and none homeschool. Anyone else out there like me????? Im also a certified teacher ... but I got tired of the rat race and dealing with parents "these days" there was a lack of support from parents and people in higher positions at the school I was in. I love being at home ... but am ready to go back to an out of the home job!!

I am a mom of two, one of which is enrolled with a virtual charter school and the other is still in brick and mortar school. I work full time out of the home in a very stressful position. Most of the time I am a "single" parent as my husband travels for the military. I am an independent consultant with The Pampered Chef and am studying Essential Oils and Herbs with my oldest daughter. My stress generated from outside the home is killing me and am looking for a work at home position that will pay what I am making out of the home. Make sure you really want to join the outside world. I am a person who loves being home and can go without the social interaction but some do need it. Just know you are not alone with your "work load" I think we as women take on a lot...but if we didn't...who would.

I also work from home and homeschool. I am the caregiver full-time now for my mom who now lives with me, I write articles as an independent contractor and I homeschool my ten year old daughter. I feel you on the exhausted. I wouldn't give it up for the world. I am able to support my child and myself comfortably while caring for my parent. I get to see my baby grow up and be completely involved in all stages of her life. My mother also gets to be included in this. It's very hard, especially with the garden, canning and all of Kenzie's extracurricular activites now. I give myself one day a week (Thursdays) that is just for me. I get to relax, do what I want, wear jammies all day if I choose. My mom and daughter are super supportive of this. Even if you can't take a whole day to yourself, take at least a few hours a week. It really helps with the weekly recharge.

I totally and completely understand. I home schooled our youngest daughter for 12 years. She was active in 4H Club and Red Cross Club, which I was the leader of. We were very busy. I am also a minister/pastor's wife. I have always been very active with church activities. It was hectic for sure. You are right, most people think that if you are home schooling, that you have it easy. If they only knew.

I do not work from home, but I am a SAHM who does homeschool. So I know about being tired! I have been homeschooling for 6 years now, and it has been a struggle, my oldest has Autism,ADHD and learning disorders, so it has been a struggle. None of my friends understand either, their answer is for me to put my child into public school, but that is not happening. So I feel your pain!

I totally understand. I'm also a Stay at home mom and homeschooler. I have six children, three with autism and learning disabilities. I am blessed in that both my fiancee and I work from home, so we can share all of the responsibility. It's exhausting though. Just because I don't commute everyday, doesn't mean I don't work just as hard.
