Brand Name vs. Brand Less

Hello! I'm curious to read your opinions on shopping habits when it comes to accessories. For example, are you attracted to the design of a purse or the brand that is attached to it? I realize that all items have brands but some are just more influential than others. What's your take? Kindly, Keesha

I hit up the non-dumpy 2nd hand stores. We have a place over by where I live and the prices are cheaper than the Goodwill and the clothes are in fab condition. They only sell slightly worn clothes and I have found Nike's and Doc Martens with tags still on priced @ $4.95-$5.95. Ed Hardy shirts, Levis, etc. It's def a lot cheaper on the pocket book and no shame in buying. LOL, I find it shameful to actually pay dept store prices when you can look & find super cheap.

I buy stuff that i can afford. I cant justify spending $100 + dollars on a handbag or sunglasses. I cant.

I am a sale shopper for sure. When it comes to everything but purses and accessories I have a hard time not going with a brand name. Primarily because of quality and well I do like a few purse brands a lot. If you are a good bargain shopper you can usually get a brest deal at an outlet

Hi Keesha! I struggle with this too. Sometimes it's nice to have the nice Tory Burch this or Burberry that- but honestly I've found if it's a cute item the brand shouldn't matter for anything other then quality. I'd agree with alison333 that for items like purses and wallets I love to know that it's a brand I can depend on. Winter gear is wrapped in that too (obsessed with Soreal boots). Here's how i see it- Trends in clothes stray from brand names it's cheaper and the trends don't usually last long. Classics like the little black dress go with a nicer brand that will last longer and has better reviews

I usually buy what I like and can afford at the time. Brand names I could care less about really. If I like it I buy it if I don't then obviously I don't buy it just because it's in style or is a certain name brand. I personally don't notice if people ar swearing a name brand or not. I'm usually to involved with my own busy life lol.

I tend to go for the most quality I can afford. I would rather have a few items that will last a long time than a whole lot of accessories whose color will wear off after a couple of uses. We've all had that silver tone necklace that has worn off to look brassy very quickly! Now, I'm not saying I spend a lot or always go for high end brands, because most of the time, I simply cannot afford it. But I try to buy things that don't look cheap.

I try to buy things because they are cute and I like them, but I am drawn to the more expensive items!! I'm not sure if it's the brand that is influencing me or if the bigger brands just have better quality items. For clothes, I usually just buy what I like, but with accessories and bags, I don't want them to look cheap so I might splurge a little more. Especially for something like a bag I am going to carry everywhere.

For purses I choose brands because of quality otherwise I'm not brand specific.

I accessorize by what I like as opposed to status symbols.

I buy what I like. The most important thing to me is the quality. Sometimes I feel like some name brand items are poorly made or made the same as a non name brand item. I feel that in some cases we're just paying for the name. I hope that makes sense.
