I have tried knitting in the past but it just didn't go very well for me. I felt like I was all thumbs. However, I do crochet especially in the winter when it is cold up here in the north. I live in Idaho and it is absolutely beautiful here.

I love crocheting! I was taught by my good friend in college. I'm a visual learner so it was great to have her teach me step by step. I can pretty much just do a basic single stitch blanket or scarf. I made my daughter a blanket before she was born. I would love to try out different things but I look at the instructions on how to make something and i get so confused! I just have to dive in and try to follow them one day.

I'm currently trying to work up enough passion to start a crochet afghan for my sister. I've made all my nieces blankets, but never thought my sister might want one till she said "wheres mine?" I'd like to have it done in time for Christmas.....So wish me luck,

I have always wanted to learn how to crochet and to knit. I have my mom's favorite crochet hook (RIP Mom) and I went to our local Goodwill store and found knitting needles for 99 cents and a nice variety of new yarn to start with for a few dollars too along with some instruction books. I haven't started yet but I plan to this Winter!

I know how to knit, but I do not like the finished product. I prefer crocheting. I am in the process of making scarves , hats and ear warmers.

Try you tube. I know different stitches, but putting them together and making different shapes, was not in the works for me. I am now trying to teach myself how to read a pattern.
