Any one like to fish or camp???

I am a mother of two, all but grown boys, 18 and 21. Our favorite thing to do even when they were babies was to go fishing and camping. We have always tried to teach them about nature and how to protect it while enjoying it. Our house was the neighaborhood petting zoo, we took in every baby bird that had been blown out of nest to wild baby bunnies, racoons, squirls, the rare ocasional gardner snake that got ran over and scuffed up " musch to my dislike" that had either lost their mothers or were injured and we returned them to the wild when they were able to fend for themselves. We already have our 4th of july vacation planned to go camping & fishing at the lake. We have invited our friends and my ex husband, his girlfriend, the kids, their girlfriends, and family to join us. We acutually ruff it, we do the whole tent thing and cooking over a camp fire that the lake provides. Does anyone else still enjoying doing this kind of activities with family and friends?

We live in Fl near the gulf, so we fish alot. Haven't been camping....hubby wants us to.

i grew up with just my brother and uncles i was the only girl in the house not counting my grandmom and my elder sister who was really girly and would visit every whenever lol. i loved fishing still do only everytime i try to hold the fish to remove it from the hook i get cuts by the sharp outer body of the creature bummer so i have to use a clove and they will all make fun of me (say what smalls lol). i however release the fish back into the lake or sea i just cant bare to keep the little fellow..... wired ikr but its a me thing. i love camping in my back yard or anywhere i can get a bathroom and internet connection i applaud you for actually doing all these things its soooooo much fun!!! but i guess if we had done it like you guys and make it a family event i would try and maybe not miss my wifi. but now everyone is all grown up and busy with so much there has not been any time to do things together anymore. sad though that distance got between us. all great memories!.......

Camping & fishing is something that my whole family loves. I love the fact that it gets the kids outside and away from the internet.
