Hi, I've been really conscious of my health since I take public transportation. I have used the purrell anti-bacterial soap and have some Kleenex anti-viral tissues at work, but I got sick anyway. I'm not terribly sick, just a sore throat and I lost my voice. I think I'll be ok in time for the holidays, but was wondering what everyone else does to beat the cold/ flu? Kleenex has a site w/ cold and flu tips: http://www.coldandflutips.com and I found a few good ones - would love to hear yours!

Try E-mergency. Can be purchased at drugstore. Try the one with immunity booster. If you are exposed to illness take it right away!

Please check out the risks of the antibacterial soaps. I have been seeing a lot of articles that say it can hurt your health. Plus, the use of them is why a lot of antibiotics no longer work. I guess the germs got use to them. I wash my hands a lot, but I use a glycerin soap (I get at Trader Joes but you can get at any store, pretty much)

As soon as I know I've been around someone who is sick, or start feeling that tickle in the back of my throat, I start taking Echinacea and mega doses of Vitamin C, morning and night. I also make sure to drink lots of fluids. This will either prevent me from getting sick, or if I start the regimen too late, I may get sick but it won't be that bad or last that long. I also get a flu shot annually, take a multi-vitamin and eat fairly healthy. Following this regimen, I rarely get sick.

I wash my hands alot! It seems like I really don't catch a cold/flu . I think it may have something to do with eating spicy, hot foods and spices: since my immune system is bad. Eating spicy, hot foods seems to help.
