I want to try a less expensive makeup. I was wondering what other people use and what they think works better? I am just tired of spending tons of money on my makeup every month. I want to see if there really is a difference.

Teflon is the best drugstore brand by far for foundation and lipstick. Covergirl and Maybelline for mascara. Almay for eyeshadow, but they sell it by eye color and all are slightly frosty. Revlon has great eyeliner. Loreal has great mineral makeup. Wet n Wild's $2 lipsticks in black tubes has great color payoff, but transfers on everything. I wouldn't skimp on brow products though. That's the part that you really really really don't want people to think you have makeup on. Anastasia makes great brow products but the run about $20 per item.

I have been using E.L.F. cosmetics. I find most of them at Target and some at my local Walmart. Anyway so far everything I have tried has been fantastic. The products are 1.00-6.00 that I have found so far and again they are great. The brushes are impressive in my opinion especially for the 1.00-3.00 price tag. Good luck in your search!

ELF has really great products for super inexpensive prices. Most of their products are copies of the much more expensive versions of make up that you would find at sephora and work just as good.

I really like maybelline fit me for foundation. It's sheer enough that you don't feel it and it looks like you have perfect skin- not just perfect makeup.

e.l.f is definitely the least expensive, but a lot of their products are a hit or a miss. I suggest if you want to pay a little and get a good quality NYX is the way to go! I have yet to find a product that I don't like!

I like Avon, Maybelline and Cover Girl. I use Olay skin products.

I've been meaning to try Avon. Can anyone tell me what the coverage is like? I have been using clinique but I'm not all that satisfied, seeing as the coverage is only moderate and I prefer a full coverage foundation. As far as cheaper alternatives, I use covergirl lashblast sometimes, and I love sonia kashuk's makeup from target- especially her concealer and brushes. Some e.l.f products are good, but you wanna do your research before buying them. I bought my favorite kabuki brush by e.l.f for a $1 and I've heard their spot treatment is also a dollar and works amazing but i have yet to try it.
