I want to try a less expensive makeup. I was wondering what other people use and what they think works better? I am just tired of spending tons of money on my makeup every month. I want to see if there really is a difference.

Great thread, btw! I like Maybelline Lash Express mascara. And all of Rimmels lipsticks & glosses are great - color-wise & performance-wise. I, too, took the plunge and ordered ELF products from eyeslipsface and I was super surprised how great their concealer-highlighter wand was.

I saw someone post a reply about ELF makeup.... I have always been iffy about makeup, not knowing what my color is or what to use or even how to apply some of it... When buying makeup at the store, I've always gotten the wrong shade or products and they are such expensive mistakes! I logged onto ELF and am making the purchase today! Most of the products are $1 - $3!!! My total purchase amount is $67 but I am getting 24 products! I remember my last makeup trip to the store costed over $100 and I got barely anything. At least now I can try multiple shades and products for a reasonable price. I'm not sure on the sizes and quantities of these products, but it seems worth it to me. The site also has customer reviews for all these products. Everyone I saw a review for loved them. I will update on the product when i try it!

I recommend Bare Minerals it leaves my face flawless and not looking packed with makeup especially when I go outside. A pay like $40 every five months to restock. I love it! I believe you should give it a try.

AVON! I love Avon.. The quality is awesome and the price is really affordable. I love most of the shades and haven't been disappointed yet. It's good to get in touch with your local rep, sometimes they have samples to try.

I use both high-end brands and cheap makeup. For foundation, I use only Lancome and Shiseido as they do their work so good and I have sensitive skin which I don't want to take a risk. Saving money on money which ends up for spending extra on see dermatologist is not something I want. So, for foundation, I would stick on these, at least I have used it for so many years with no issue. For other makeup, I have tried Lancome, Clinique, PN, ELF and they all are nice. Of course, you pay what you worth. A side tip, choose a good makeup remover which is very important. My favorite is Lancome Bi-Facil, Clinique makeup remover and H2O+. I would rather look for promotion offers or coupons to use rather than cut using good high-end makeup products.
