Where does the time go! Summer is over, school is back in session and the holidays are quickly approaching.

For many (if not all) of us, time passes way too quickly and we can easily put our jobs and our families ahead of our own health and peace of mind.

We're not saying ignore the kids, let your spouse fend for himself, or start slacking off at work. But, we want to make sure you're also making some time for yourself and that you don't leave it to January 2012. Fall is a perfect time to reboot, the weather is cooler for an outdoor jog or stroll and it’s easy to picture your renewed, fitter self in a few months, at a holiday party or family gathering.

So let's start today!

We all know it’s not just about diet. When was the last time you got a good night's sleep? Had a great workout? Or got a massage? Do you have an endless To-Do list that’s keeping you from taking a walk? Do you want to try yoga, boxing or P90X?

Well this week, SheSpeaks wants to help give you some tips and a friendly boost to Reboot Your Body. And, we're enlisting the SheSpeaks community to help with their collective wisdom and cheerful advice. So, we're asking each of you to share your tip, your words of wisdom, whatever you've learned along the way that has helped you and might help someone else!

Comment on this blog post below with your words of wisdom and enter to WIN one of the  items below that will help you Reboot Your Body Today! The contest starts Thursday, September 22nd and ends midnight EST Tuesday, September 27th.

Here’s a tip from a member of the SheSpeaks team:

If you’re looking to lose weight, the “My Fitness Pal” app on the iPhone is ridiculously helpful. You enter how much you weigh now, how much you want to weigh and it will tell you how many calories you can intake a day and track it. Enter everything you eat each day (as specific as the Cosi signature salad) and whatever exercise you do and it will tell you how many calories you ate, how many you have left (if any) and exactly how much you would weigh in 5 weeks if you keep doing what you’re doing. It’s a great way to know exactly where the weight is coming from and how to lose it!

And these are the prizes!

Zumba Fitness Total Body Transformation DVD System (over $50)

Gaiam Total Body Balance Ball Kit

Omron HJ-112 Digital Pocket Pedometer

YogaAccessories 1/4” Extra Thick Deluxe Yoga Mat

Good Luck!

I like to do a week long cleanse. I clean out all the processed foods and take in things like broth, water, fruits and vegetables. Sometimes things get hectic and I grab not so healthy foods so I take a week out every now and then to just eat right. It makes me feel so good and more aware of all the processed foods that I eat.

I am a busy mom with two busy children. I tend to take small amounts of time to reboot. When a child is at a lesson, I park the car and go for a walk. It is amazing how just 20 to 30 minutes can make you feel invigorated and ready to tackle the rest of your day preparing dinner, cleaning, helping with homework, etc.

To make your life easier at dinner. When you are putting away your groceries wash and cut your veggies and store with a damp paper towel on top to keep fresh. Section out your meats and pre marinate them in ziplock bags so when you pull them out allyou need to do is cook them. Also make compound butters to make cooktime easier, just mix butter with taco seasoning and put in freezer. When your having taco night you just need to pull out youveggies put some ground meet and your butter in a skillet to cook and warm the shells. It will shave time off dinner all week long and save Money!

I like to spend a little time on Sunday night prepping my food in the fridge for the week. I also make a detailed menu for each day, including snacks, so that when mealtime or hunger arrives, I know what to turn to. Being prepared helps to keep me on track.

I try to hide veggies and fruits in my meals throughout the day. I was told that I should be getting 5-6 serviings a day and that 1/2 a cup is a serving. When you think about it as half a cup, it's not really that hard to do espcially if you add blueberries or strawberries to a cup of cereal in the morning or if you make a fruit smoothie in the morning. That cuts out about 4 servings (or more, depending on the size of your shake) for the day.

If you want to not only feel better but BE healthier, getting a massage is a great way to release toxins from tight muscles, increase your circulation, give you better range of motion and release endorphins, among other benefits, which will both give you the motivation to get out there and work out and help you recover from workouts faster. It's more than just relaxation but a way to regularly maintain your body the way you'd maintain your car!

For me, the best thing I can do for a re-boot is spend some quality time with my herbal heat pack before I settle in for a long night's sleep.

I tend to be a very stressed person. So to help relax at the end of the day I take time for myself. I let the husband put the kids to bed and I do something for me. Often its something as simple as taking a shower (without kids barging in), going for an evening walk, or snuggling in bed with a good book. I also find it very helpful to drink a lot of water throughout the day. When I do my hair looks better, my skin looks better, and my clothes fit better.

I love to garden outside and also keep flowering houseplants inside which really brighten dark winter days! I walk for 30 minutes each day and hula hoop with an adult-sized hoop several times a week. Hula hooping burns calories but also is like a massage. If my muscles are especially tight I roll my back on a tennis ball to get out the knots. I am a vegetarian and eat whole foods, eat no wheat and limit my other grains.

The best way I've found to reboot my body is to take a brisk walk. It gets my blood pumping, and I can leave behind the things that are causing stress...kids' homework, fighting siblings, work obligations. For 30 minutes, all I can hear is my breathing, and all I can see is the road ahead of me.

My husband and I run 3 days a week together. To keep me motivated, I signed up to run a 5K with my 15 year old.

My ways of rebooting is to pamper myself at home from doing a sugar scrub bath, doing a pedicure and manicure. Couple hours later I treat myself to some of my favorite ice cream. I enjoy dancing so I put some dance music on and have a blast while burning calories. Also since I received my Cerra sample , I have added a few more steps in rebooting. I now take more time to relax and enjoy the moment.

I think My back to school reboot is going for a nice long walk , just me enjoying the day and getting a little exercise at the same time. Follow that up with a hot cup of coffee and a good book ... Heaven !! ;)

In order to de-stress a bit from everyday life, I think it's important for everyone to take a moment for themselves. Sometimes I like to sit in the park for awhile and just enjoy the scenery, or I might make myself a cup of tea and curl up with a great book. I think exercising is also an excellent way to de-stress so sometimes I'll take a walk, or do either yoga or Zumba. I also think about all of the little things that I appreciate in life. :)
