Do you color or highlight your hair?

Spring is well underway and it seems like so many of us like to "brighten" our look after the long and dark winter! So, we were curious, just how many of us actually highlight our hair?

Whether you do it to cover grey, brighten up your own color or to completely change color, we were curious, do you color or highlight your hair? Why?

Yes- I usually do it myself with home hair color products (50.5%)

Yes- I usually go to a salon for a stylist to do (28.5%)

No- I do not color or highlight my hair (11.6%)

Not yet, but I'm thinking about it (9.3%)

    As a teen and young woman, I colored my hair a different color every week! I am an older woman now and am content with my natural color. Of course, if it starts turning gray, I will probably reconsider.

    Whenever I color my hair it is never a drastic change. I choose colors that are a shade or two lighter or darker to keep it less noticable when it my roots are coming out.

    you have to be very careful if you change colors with hair dye. Stay within your hair color and it will do much better :)

    I have been coloring my hair for the last couple of years, mainly to color the grey I find this cost effective

    I do it at home with help of dear hubby - since I have waist lenght hair, I need two boxes. I don't do it regularly, but definitely cover up my salt and pepper hair for special occasions.

    I use to go to the salon to get my hair colored but it is soooo expensive that I decided to do it myself. Then my mother inlaw said that she would be glad to do it for me because she use to be a hair stylist. What a great deal that turned out to be. I just pay for the color and she does it for me. Gotta love her for that

    I color my hair myself. It takes less time than waiting to have it done at a salon, and less expensive as well.

    Always do my hair myself i had blond hair my whole life but wanted something diff. i went to a salon to get a brown color and it came out clown red That ____ didnt know what she was doing so i do it myself now and i do better than her!!

    I am 64 and have beautiful grey hair so I do not color it. However, when I was in my 20's and 30's I did bleach my own hair. My friends and I would have "bleach ins" and do each others hair. It was great fun.

    I used to color my hair when I was younger, but I wanted to see what it looked like naturally, so I stopped. I found that I really like the way it is going gray!
