I think alot of questions need to be answered and discussed before assuming it will work or not. Everyone has their own thoughts and I think its going to be a hard sell.

The middle class is ALREADY feeling the effect. My husband has a very good job, gets paid well. His job doesn't provide health insurance for our family. We can't afford Health insurance and we have 3 kids under 5 years old. We can't afford health insurance and we don't qualify for health care government assistance. The government doesn't take into consideration the fact that we owe and have to pay student loans every month.

This has been sought through clearly; the Government seems to not be getting anything right these days so what makes them think they can handle this health care issue

If the proposed plan is really good, why will government officials be exempt from it and have a completely different plan? I pray this does not pass!!

Although I am a permanent resident of the U.S., I am a Canadian citizen. As such, I have first-hand knowledge of a universal medical coverage plan. Based on my experiences, I think that it is a good system, where individuals do not have to worry about not having enough money for needed health care and can rest assured that the best health care coverage will be provided regardless of income.

I've lived/worked in countries that have Universal Health Care. I visited a friend in the hospital after he had a motorcycle accident. The experience was very frightening! I saw that we were far more advanced in our health care methods and facilities. I immediately informed my manager that if I became ill, they must return me back to the United States. If you go overseas to live or work, check out your nearest hospital and compare with what you have here. Of course not all countries operate the same, so just check out the facilities to make sure you will be well provided for in the event of an emergency.

I think the idea of universal health care is a good one but it is just not practical for country. And there is no clear idea about how they are going to make it work like I said it's just not practical. Every man to himself.
