President Elect Obama will be sworn in on January 20th, does our new President make you optimistic for the future?

On January 20th, Barak Obama will be sworn in as the 44th President of the United States.  He takes this role, as the highest officer in the land, on the heels of a historic election and the midst of a crumbling economy and continued threats and tension around the globe. 

How are you feeling about President Obama’s ability to effectively lead the country through these turbulent times?  Please share your thoughts.

    I love Obama. I have so much hope that he can be another FDR. Why not dream big?!! I think he has the guts to do it, too.

    Hopefully we've hit rock bottom and the only direction this country can go is up!

    I am hopeful although he wasn't my first choice he has chosen a lot of great people to assist him.

    The honeymoon I believe will last about 4 months. He is a human man and can not fix the issues we have made for ourselves over many many years. (buying on credit, overextending, and outliving our means) Everyone needs to do their part to prepare for what is ahead.

    I believe this country will turn around with or without him, but I think he will really make a difference. I think he will clean up Bush's mess.

    I am skeptical right now. I think that once I start seeing some results I will become optimistic.

    I am optimistic. Things are so scary right now that optimisim is the only things that helps. I believe in him and in our country. I believe our country will come together and get through this. It won't be easy but I think when we do come through this- we will be a stronger smarter country.

    No, not at all. He's sneaky and doesn't give straight answers to anything. I hope they find his birth certifacte and get rid of him.

    I am very optimistic...I think he has a rough job in front of him especially with all of this new stuff happening in the middle east but I think he will do great!!!
