I feel he's doing a hell of a good job. Anyone remember the eight years prior to his election? We were driven into the ground! We are climbing back up, slowly but surely. The only people that are not on his side are either the people that were not to begin with or people that believe someone can fix their problems for them. I for one, feel better and more hopeful.

Blaming the past 8 years is bull. Bush was handed Clinton's terrorist issue and Clinton "OKed" the banks to hand out these loans to people who could not afford them. So now we, the tax payers, have to clean up his mess. Obama is all about getting his own agenda set, no matter how much money it cost US, yes, the tax payers. i would like to take all of his money and give it away and see how he feels then...people always look to government to get "what they deserve" but we have to take care of ourselves. Look how the DMV & USPS are run, why in God's name would you want your health care to run like that. People are blinded by this flashy president and I cannot wait until he is out of office!

I totally agree with you botmline, Change does take time. Maybe if he could get a fair chance to prove that he can build up the economy; without someone always trying to ridicule everything he does. I mean hello give the man a chance because eight years prior was a totally nightmare.

I voted "good." Even though I don't love the healthcare bill, I'm impressed with the progress that Pres Obama made with that. He has tackled SO much in one year - the economy, the wars, Gitmo, healthcare, the environment - while none of these is resolved, Obama is an action-taker and I believe each of these things would be in worse shape if Obama and his team hadn't moved so swiftly. Obama has proved to be a listener, and this guided his decisions about how to proceed in Afghanistan. Things in general aren't great, but I believe they would have been worse without Obama.

I think he has done some learning this past year. He's learned to listen to his generals and staff before just taking troops out because it may look good politcally. He also learned to listen to key financial advisers and the general public before making decisions. I like how he's handling the banks and their execs- they don't deserve bonuses at all and they should be fined. I only wish he had gotten health care passed. I would have liked to be able to go to a doctor without paying an arm and a leg.

I am also wondering about these secrets? Doesn't every government official have "secrets"?

I think he is spending money like its growing on trees. How is the trillions of dollars going to be paid back and where is he getting the money. We are in trouble now!!!!!

Needs to be out of office. Health care? NOT!!! Just too much control. This is America with individual rights.

I think that he is doing the best job that he can given the horrible state that the country was in when he took over. Nothing happens overnight; we didn't get into this state of economic turmoil overnight and we won't get out of it overnight. He listens, he does not jump blindly into things; he analyzes and processes things closely, and he is trying to do what is best for the majority of our citizens. Is he doing a perfect job, probably not, but at least he is trying. I don't think that anyone else could possibly do any better at this point in time. I was most impressed when I heard him say last night that he does not want to push through this health care program before Smith gets put into office; he wants it to be a fair representation of the entire country; not just push it through before someone that is believed to opposed it gets his say. To me, that is fair play and I like that!
