How much money are you spending compared to 1-2 months ago?

The economy seems to be showing glimmers of recovery.  On the other hand, many of us are out of work or know others who are.  So, we were curious, how are you feeling about spending your money over the last 1-2 months?

Please tell us what you think.  We want to know!

I'm spending more (15.8%)

I'm spending the same (33.3%)

I'm spending less (50.9%)

My friends and I decided that we weren't going buy anything unless we could get it for free or cheap.

By this time last year I had basically all my Christmas shopping done, although it did not stop me from still looking at sale items-LOL. But this year I have barely begun. I think it is the money factor, I seem also just not able to get into it, but I must start sometime soon......

I was recently laid off. We were living paycheck to paycheck before - now it is getting a little scary and we do not spend a penny unless it is an absolute neccesity. The job market is just not what it used to be and am having a very hard time finding a new job. If the economy is turning around it sure hasn't gotten to us yet!

Most of my money goes towards groceries. The price of everything has gone up, except the paychecks. My husband and I have a daughter that will be graduating from high shool this school year. I don't think she wants to hear that we can't afford to send her on her prom or when her birthday comes up in December around christmas, that we can't afford to give you a really nice gift. I am truly blessed that we can maintain what we have, but it seems to get harder and harder everyday. Prayer has kept us sane when everything else seems to have fallen apart.

I have 4 month old twin boys so I'm currently not working. Were still ok on just one salary, but about 2 months ago my husband's hours at work went from 40+ to less than 32 a week. Needless to say, we've tightened the belt considerably.
