When I check my email or whatever else I'm online for, I read the headlines and flip thru the other stories. Scroll down the page and see other news. This way if I don't want to read about a news story, I don't have to. Sometimes, with a situation that really burdens me at the time, I will pray about it.
i use my phone to check stuff and updated with my email but mostly when iget the time to sit down i will turn on the TV and watch the news.
I have had to do a lot of hurry up and wait lately, so my laptop is a constant source of distraction. I just skim stories on the Yahoo page and investigate what interests me further.
I signed up with a local radio am newsstation text about any breaking news in the area, but the best part is the Traffic option. If there is an accident they text right away. Worth looking into, its saved me lots of time.
I get most of the news from radio stations. i like the way news is presented on radio. On TV especially, the news is more sensationalized than necessary.

It is much quicker to get the news online, you can read what you want and pass over the other info that you are not interested. Definately a time saver!
If I want to know what's going on, I go to twitter and see what's trending. Downside? Bieber will likely be trending with real news stories!
I do get a lot of information online, but most of my information comes from the morning news.
I do go online to yahoo and msn but there is still nothing better then regular tv news. It's classic and usually he last thing I watch at night before bed.
