I actually have a lot of counterspace, but no matter how hard I try, I never seem to have space to prepare meals. The coffeemaker and toaster oven take up too much space. But I use those appliances a lot so I have to keep them on the counter.

With my grandchildren living with me, my countertops stay cluttered. One keeping sippycups or whatever other toys he wants to put up there and the other with all her straws and things that "has" to be in her reach, not to mention the appliances and canisters!!

Sadly I have less than 8 sq ft of counter space, so there are always things piled and tossed on the counters.

I'm very lucky to have lots of counter top space, but its always full of mail, cell phone chargers, cookbooks, etc. The stuff that I can't seem to find a home for...

My apartment was built in the 60s/70s, and the cramped countertops and ugly faux marble veneer reflect that. It's clean, but so ugly I don't want anyone in there, even if there was room. Just two people in there is awkward.
