Our traditionl meal is usually pork and sauerkraut,a german favorite of ours and why not having the turkey as an alternative dish. turkey breast seems to work out fine for the quests who do not eat pork, and its less waste and effort.

we change up the way we prepare our turkey, sometimes it's baked, sometimes it's deep fried, this year we're going to smoke it, but the trimmings are always the same traditional. The work that goes into it every year is half the fun, I think it brings us all closer

Turkey to me means Thanksgiving. We cannot eat it throughout the year because we are supposed to have it on Thanksgiving. Not even turkey lunchmeat sometimes! It is a tradition.

The traditional Thanksgiving is important to us because by keeping with the family tradition we are awarded the honor of passing the traditions of our late ancestors to the newer genorations. It is important that our youngsters experience what we did as children.

Coming from a Puerto Rican family, we don't eat turkey. We always ate Pasteles and other Spanish dishes.
