I was really hoping to find a product that worked on my hair. I don't have really tight curls and mine are more so the wavy, frizzy type that I've had my entire life. My hair seems to only respond to being dried first and then having a hair straightener applied secondly. I tried different techniques from following the bottle's direction of towel drying and then applying it to blow drying and applying it but none produced the results I would want to let me walk out of the house feeling happy. On both accounts, I had to follow through with the hot iron for the same time as I did. I was hoping with the quality ingredients, it at least provided some extra protection to the strands from the damaging hot iron. I did like that it did not weigh my hair down or leave a residue behind. When I woke up the next morning, my hair was back to frizzy again unfortunately if I didn't use the hair straightener. I do love the Aveda brand but this time, it did not work for my hair type. I would recommend as based on the other reviews, it might work on different hair types.

I did not have much luck with Aveda Naturally Straight. My hair is usually pretty frizzy, especially in the summer, and I didn't really notice a difference unless I used a hair dryer and flat iron on it afterwards (and I hope that my hair would be straight after doing all that). It did not feel smooth though, there seemed to be a lot of buildup after using this product. My hair got back to frizzy after the first shampoo. I can imagine that someone with better hair would probably have more success.

The product has a wonderful scent and a nice consistency. I have long hair with a medium density and a slight wave. The hairs around my face tend to frizz up easily so I was excited to use this product. I found that it shortened my blow dry time by almost in half but after using the product for several days it left a buildup that made my hair stiff and dull looking. It actually took a couple washings and a deep conditioner to get my hair back to feeling normal for me. It may work better for someone with a different hair type but for me I will not purchase in the future. I'm going to give the rest of the bottle to my mother in-law who has extra curly hair.

Since giving birth to my daughter 10 years ago, my once straight hair turned increasingly curly. My hair is long and thick so the weight does pull a lot of the curl out of my hair so when I don't straighten it, it is quite wavy. I was hoping that Aveda Naturally Straight would have taken some of the time out of the routine of straightening my hair or at the very least, left it with out frizz. I used it as recommended, and used a round brush while I blowdried. My hair had less curl, but still looked frizzy and wavy. I ended up having to use a flat iron to smooth it out more. While I liked the scent and consistancy, it was no miracle product for my straigthening my hair.

I tried on my frizzy and dry looking hair but it didn't help that much. Infact to make my hair straight I had to use the straightner and after washing the hair it didn't stay like that infact it was again dry and frizzy so I would just give it 2 stars because for me it didn't work well.

I was initially intrigued with the product because of the claim that after three uses your hair would be straighter. When I first used the product, I loved the smell and how it didn't feel sticky in my hands as I applied it. I dried my hair like I normally do (hair dryer and round brush) and didn't seem to notice a difference in the drying time or how straight my hair became (I have naturally wavy/loose curls when left to air dry). I continued to use the product for the rest of the week (4 days). I still noticed no difference in the overall straightness of my hair. The weather during this time was rainy/damp and I noticed that once I was outside my hair would become wavy again. Over the weekend I did try the product and added a flat iron to my styling routine. I achieved straight hair but again no more than I normally would with a dryer, brush and flat iron. I was overall disappointed with the results versus the claims of this product. I would not purchase this product at a salon for myself.

I thank you for letting me try this Aveda Naturally Straight product. My hair is semi straight with slight waves at the bottom. Maybe my hair wasn't long enough are too thin, but I really didn't see that much of a difference. If anything, it seemed to weigh my hair down. The main problem I had was the smell...I did not like it at all. The good thing was that it didn't last long so I was able to tolerate it. This product could be great for some, but not me

This product did not work for me. It didn't seem to have made a difference in how fast my hair straightened or how long it stayed straight. i do like the way it smells!

I have mixed feelings about this product, and will continue to use it until the tube is empty, but not for the intended purpose. My long, blonde, thin, wavy hair did not get any straighter with this product. Nor did it reduce frizziness in the humidity. However, it has a very nice consistency and makes my hair feel smooth. As an after-shower hydration treatment it is fairly nice. As a hair straightener, it simply does not work with my hair type.

My hair is fine, and slightly curly, mostly has waves. I tried the product and I followed the directions, I found that it didn't work quite as well as I had thought it would. My hair didn't blowdry quickly, nor did the product make my hair completely straight! It didn't last through four or five washes either. My hair felt soft, but I found that the product left a residue on my hair which made it look greasy the next day. I do not feel that this product lived up to the standards that it claims to do!

I was excited to try out Aveda Naturally Straight and was hopeful for it, but just really didn't work with my hair. It's a nice light fragrance, but kind of left my hair greasy and didn't really straighten the hair. Really wanted to like the product because I love Aveda, but this just isn't for me.

I have very coarse hair. I would love to have a straightening cream that actually worked... Aveda Naturally Straight doesn't help natural hair. I reccomend to people who already have straight hair just may have to use on some stray aways... Coarse hair no sir..

I opened the box with high hopes. The packaging is sleek and beautiful (like I was hoping my hair would be!). From the moment I opened the lid, I was disappointed. The smell is nauseating. I would not wish to smell like that for any period of time. I used the product, as directed, despite my many reservations. My hair was smoother, but had a greasy feel that I could not shake. It felt sticky and the smell was just too bad. I ended up washing my hair several times to get the smell out. :( Like I said, I had very high hopes and was sadly disappointed.

I was very excited to try Aveda Naturally Straight that I immediately ripped it out of the box. Maybe my expectations were way too high because I was really disappointed. Like some of the other reviews, my hair was greasy, looked dirty and lifeless after using the product. Maybe I used too much product or maybe it just doesn't work well for fine hair. Either way, I will not be using it again.

I wanted to love this product but I had lukewarm results. My hair needs tons of moisture because it is dry and while the product seemed to help tone down the curls, it also made my hair progressively drier. I also found that shampooing (I use sulfate free) did not seem to completely remove the product which made my hair more "straw like". I am going to take some time off to deep condition and give it another try, but unless the second round goes better I'm going to have to take it out of the lineup. Glad for the opportunity to give it a whirl though.
