I enjoy the ease of use of this item. I like the buttons and the quick access light. I really enjoy waking up to the birds rather than my cell phone which is what I used before this arrived. I have shared this with my 16 year old son who is really difficult to awake. I think it is making things a bit easier on him although he is still difficult to awake most days. I wouldn't recommend trying to look and see what time it is with the light at full brightness, because it is rather blinding. When the light isn't on, you can read the time just fine. I have enjoyed trying this product!

The product was a little bigger than I would have liked for an alarm clock but I did like how I woke up more gradually rather than abrubly as with other alarm clocks. I liked the light slowly getting brighter let me wake up and the soft sound of birds- it is a good way to wake up especially in the winter in Idaho where it doesn't get light until later and you don't have birds around to chirp.

Thanks you SheSpeaks!!!! My husband sleeps the sleep of the dead. I have been looking for an alarm clock that will wake him for the past 20 years! Finally I have found one that wakes him and doesn't wake the entire house. This is wonderful, gentle and makes for a happier start to the day. Our entire morning routine has changed from me and the kids rotating through the bedroom with "wake up Dad"'s being shouted to "wow, is Dad already up?" Thanks again for letting me try this great product and for helping wake my grizzly bear.

I am a person who really needs my sleep, and I am generally not happy when I have to wake up before 8 am! I am also very light sensitive. My job requires that I get up by 6 am. My boyfriend is an early-riser and a very light sleeper, so I was curious to see how this alarm would work for the two of us. I have found that I wake up more gradually and less grumpy with this alarm. I really like to wake up to the bird sounds, rather than a beep or the radio, as it is a gentle way to wake up. We have a new puppy who has been getting us up around 5:30 am, which means that I go back to bed just about the time the light begins to brighten on the clock. This has necessitated turning off the light portion of the alarm some mornings. Surprisingly, the light has not seemed to disturb my lightly-sleeping boyfriend either! I don't particularly care for the appearance of the alarm, but I have otherwise been very content with it, especially on the mornings when the puppy doesn't get me up and I can utilize both the light and sound portions of the alarm.

I really liked the Wake Up Light by Philips! Especially now since it is so dark out, it really comes in use. The only thing I have to say is, it doesn't always wake me up by light. I don't know what happened, but sometimes it just makes the sounds, no light. And also when you shut it off it still stays on. I need to fix those minor things, but besides that, I really like it and am SO happy I was able to try it!

I am enjoying using this light/alarm clock. It is larger than I was expecting it to be but now that I have been using it I appreciate using it as my bedside light- it is exactly the type of light I prefer to use bedside- contained so it is muted with no possibility of a direct bulb in my eyes. I do wish there was an option of just light turning on and no sound at all, but I guess most people wouldn't need that, but i would like it for the weekend. . .

I am definitely not a morning person, and due to my wonderful friend, insomnia, I have a really hard time getting up most days. The Philips Wake-Up Light definitely made it easier for me to get up in the mornings for about the 1st week. The light definitely starting waking me up and by the time the birds starting chirping, I was awake enough to get up and start my day. Sometime during the second week, even though the light was set at the brightest level, I wouldn't wake up as easily. In fact, the light wouldn't faze me at all. The birds chirping would still wake me up at least. At this point, the light feature itself doesn't wake me at all, and the chirping birds wake me most of the time. Overall, I really like the product and am happy with it. It works wonderfully for my husband. The light wakes him every time and he is very happy with it. I probably would love this product more if I didn't struggle so much with insomnia.

This light makes a beautiful light and it is bright enough to read by and highly adjustable. However, I can't always get the light to turn on with the alarm. I haven't figured out how to get that to work consistently. The first few times it woke me 30 minutes before the alarm because I was used to a totally dark room. Now I sometimes don't get wakened by the light at all (even if it has turned on), but if it has been on I feel like I'm a little bit more awake. Its programming is not like any other clock I've ever used and I still struggle with it. When half awake in the morning I never can set the snooze, I always accidentally turn it all the way off. The chirping birds are lovely. The first time they came on, I was dreaming that I was back in childhood at my grandparents' house in the country. I truly didn't want to wake out of that dream, though. Overall, I enjoy this light/lamp/radio/alarm a lot and hope I can understand its workings a bit better.

I have honestly only gotten to try this a handful of times with the holidays being hectic with family visiting and such. I'll definitely use it more now that things are back to a somewhat slower pace. When I did use it, I definitely noticed the gentleness with which I seemed to awaken instead of the buzzing and shock of a traditional style alarm clock. That, in itself, is a plus as we do not treat ourselves gently enough in today's society.

This is a great product. I use the sleep feature at night while I'm reading to help me wind down and go to bed at a reasonable hour. The wake up portion of the light no longer wakes me up, but the birds chirping (so natural sounding, the first few mornings both my husband and I were wondering why birds were making so much noise in the winter!) wakes me. I'm not a morning person and this doesn't make me energized or jump out of bed, but it does make it feel more like I actually should be waking up (never felt that way in January in the midwest before!). I've recommended this to my SIL who works night shifts!

I haven't tried this but sounds very intresting. Would love to try it.

This is a great way to waking up in the morning. I liked how simple setting this light was. I could easy set it up even without the simple instructions that were included. Unfortunately every time I used this light to wake up to it cause my cat to become more active. So instead of this nice product waking me up, I was actually getting woke up from my cat being active. Since I had to stop using it as an alarm because of my cat I decided to use the dimmer light by itself and love that part the most. I use it now in my living room to add more light to that room.

I'll start by saying I am NOT a morning person. With that being said, after using the Philips Wake-up Light my mornings have become a lot more bearable. I've started waking up more easily and gently which is not an easy feat for me! I really like the way the product simulates the sunrise which tells my body it's time to get up. I've noticed a gradual boost in energy as well. I'll definitely have to recommend this product to my fellow non-morning people.

Nature sounds and natural light are so much nicer to wake to than an annoying buzzer. thank you for letting me try this awesome product!

so far i have only had mine a few days and I have to say I was surprised. It wasnt a shocking or annoying way to wake up.. it was like waking up at my own time.. great
