Found this to be a compelling series. It was very dark, but it was well told. Maybe for the slightly older young adult.

I love this series!! Its written really well and I think they did an awesome job with writing it. I love it when a writer can make me feel like I'm part of the book and this book I felt like I was stepping into the world with all the characters.

I just love this series! I think they really live up to the hype when you get invested in the characters. However the Peeta I pictured from reading the book looks nothing like the actor they picked. So that was mildly disappointing.

I read one after the other and loved the series as a whole. There were some parts that were a disappointment, but for the most part the story was well crafted. Another reviewer stated they did not like that the revolution "couldn't happen except for one teenage girl", but in my opinion that is what makes a great story and even in real life sometimes it only takes one person to start a revolution.

These books were great!!! I could not put them down. I think I read all three of them in 2 weeks and I was working full Time, which meant late nights reading and early mornings, but it was so so worth it. I don't think that these are children books though. I would say young adult because of the violence. I think the first book is my favorite but all three were excellent.

I haven't read a series this great since the Sookie Stackhouse books! The Hunger Games movies was also terrific and didn't let me down at all! I love the story line and how it is different than the popular (and terrible) series that keep coming out. Suzanne Collins is an amazing author and I recommend her books to all of my friends and family. Those who say the books are disgusting, yada, yada, yada really didn't read it well enough to understand that the book is more POLITICAL than just about kids killing each other.

If one remembers the audience this book is intended for, you won't be as disappointed. I went in with relatively low expectations and found it to be refreshingly good. While the last book in the series had some disappointments, I can't complain; it kept me captivated.

I didnt understand what people were fussing over. When the movie was in theaters I saw the previews and thought it looked stupid. One day me and a friend decided to do a book swap agreeing to read whatever the other chose. She gave me the hunger games. I read it and was totally addicted! These are by far some of my favorite books of all time!

I have only read the first book. I plan on reading the second soon. Very well written and definitely a page turner.
