I love my Kindle Fire for books! It's easy to borrow digital books from my local library and buy more online. The only downsides are that it is a bit slow and you cannot fully delete apps from the memory. Once the memory is full, there is no emptying it. If you are planning to get a tablet for the main purpose of reading, this is 100% the best option (great because I have a SmartPhone and so do not need it for many apps). If you are looking at this as a secondary internet portal, I would recommend looking more into the iPad.

I absolutely love the Kindle Fire! You're going to laugh but the thing I love most is that I can comfortably hold it with one hand. For the price you really can't do better. I have had it lock up on me a couple of times but ours is over a year old and the kids tend to play games that don't want to stop. Still I plan on buying a new one this summer!

I love my kindle fire. I screamed and jumped around like a little kid when I unwrapped it on Christmas day. Love the web capability. Love all the apps but wished they had some more. I love all the books and magazines that I can read for free and even the ones that are paid for. It keeps your home from being clutter with millions of books by being capable to keep all of them on one device. I am always on mine. I love how it is super portable. All I do is throw it in my purse and go. I am looking for some accessories to use with it but I am enjoying every minute of it!

I love it my kids love it but if it freezes sometimes it won't shut off unless u hold the botton in for a year and sometimes that doesn't work other than that it's pretty good quality unless you want to jam out to some music you need another speaker to make it louder

My boys have a kindle fire HD, however the charger port on the device stopped working. This poses a problem, because Amazon does not have a physical store to take it to and get it fixed so you have to jump through a ton of hoops to get anything done! It worked well for them, but since they put a lot of games on the device it froze often and would have to be restarted. I wasn't very impressed and will probably be going with Apple from here on out.

We have an ipad and a kindle in our household. Everyone gravitates to the iPad first. The kindle is great for the price and does a lot. It's just formatted weird. My kids and myself primarily use it for reading and the occasional game. I also prefer to travel with the kindle because it cost less than the iPad so I worry less about it getting lost, stolen or broken.
