We have an ipad and a kindle in our household. Everyone gravitates to the iPad first. The kindle is great for the price and does a lot. It's just formatted weird. My kids and myself primarily use it for reading and the occasional game. I also prefer to travel with the kindle because it cost less than the iPad so I worry less about it getting lost, stolen or broken.

My boys have a kindle fire HD, however the charger port on the device stopped working. This poses a problem, because Amazon does not have a physical store to take it to and get it fixed so you have to jump through a ton of hoops to get anything done! It worked well for them, but since they put a lot of games on the device it froze often and would have to be restarted. I wasn't very impressed and will probably be going with Apple from here on out.

I love it my kids love it but if it freezes sometimes it won't shut off unless u hold the botton in for a year and sometimes that doesn't work other than that it's pretty good quality unless you want to jam out to some music you need another speaker to make it louder

Good quality and good price compared to other competing tablets.

Just received mine for Christmas and I absolutely love it, I don't know how to use if to it's full potential yet but I'm getting there, the only down fall is it didn't come with an actual usuer guide, it's built into the kindle so it was a little hard for me to get started and figure out how to get around at first. Other than that I have no complaints so far.

I absolutely love the Kindle Fire! You're going to laugh but the thing I love most is that I can comfortably hold it with one hand. For the price you really can't do better. I have had it lock up on me a couple of times but ours is over a year old and the kids tend to play games that don't want to stop. Still I plan on buying a new one this summer!

I don't actually have one, but I've used one and LOVED it! It was really easy to use and the clairity was great. I would love to own one, but the price is really expensive. I love that you can get online and use it like other tablets out there. I would mainly use it for an ereader, but it is a major bonus to be able to get on Facebook or any other apps as well.

I am just learning, but I loved the easy of use right out of the box. But last night I had to do a hard reboot. The one thing that I hate is that the user book is on the kindle, so I had to go online to find out how to do the reboot. I love that I can adjust the brightness as well.

I love my Kindle Fire for books! It's easy to borrow digital books from my local library and buy more online. The only downsides are that it is a bit slow and you cannot fully delete apps from the memory. Once the memory is full, there is no emptying it. If you are planning to get a tablet for the main purpose of reading, this is 100% the best option (great because I have a SmartPhone and so do not need it for many apps). If you are looking at this as a secondary internet portal, I would recommend looking more into the iPad.

I have the Kindle Fire 2015 Edition. Upon first opening the box, it feels a little flimsy, but it has survived a fall from my night stand without a case without cracking, so maybe it is a bit more durable than I thought. It's great for light internet browsing, reading, and playing simple games. There is a front and rear camera, but neither have great resolution. This will just be nice to have in hand for skyping relatives that live a ways away. Overall if you want something simple and easy, the Kindle Fire is for you. If you want a major app store or camera, stay away from this product.

I love my kindle fire. I screamed and jumped around like a little kid when I unwrapped it on Christmas day. Love the web capability. Love all the apps but wished they had some more. I love all the books and magazines that I can read for free and even the ones that are paid for. It keeps your home from being clutter with millions of books by being capable to keep all of them on one device. I am always on mine. I love how it is super portable. All I do is throw it in my purse and go. I am looking for some accessories to use with it but I am enjoying every minute of it!

I love my Kindle Fire! I knew I wanted a tablet, but also knew I couldn't afford $500 for the entry-level iPad. The Fire is just what I need; I am able to carry it in my purse, so I have it on the go. When I am waiting for my kids at after-school activities, I can catch up on my reading, or even watch something on Netflix. My only complaint is the touch-screen keyboard is not friendly to those of us who do not have stick-like fingers. My 71 year-old mother has one, too, and she has a terrible time typing on it. If they came out with some kind of stylus pen that could be used on it, that would greatly improve my typing efficiency! Overall, I would definitely recommend this tablet to anyone wanting an easy-to-use device, without the bells and whistles of the iPad.

Perfect In-Between! I love my Kindle Fire! It's the perfect go-between between my smartphone and my laptop. I carry it pretty much everywhere, and do nearly everything on it, from reading to scrolling my Facebook news feed to checking my email to playing games. I removed one star for the occasional glitches; the wallpaper I set will often revert to one of the default ones, or the Internet will shut down, but these errors are few and far between.

Great Okay, so I am definitely a paper copy book lover, but I will admit that the Kindle Fire works so well and have great images. It is easy to use and works for really all ages. If this is a gift, I would be careful on if the recipient likes electronic books because some people do not

I found it under my tree and Christmas and I've been tethered to it ever since. I think, at this point I have more apps than books and it's perfect for managing my bills and grocery shopping as well as giving me access to the internet and emails. I left off one star because there is limited access to the Android Market. If you want apps, you have to go through Amazon, and there are several apps (including Google apps) that are not available. That makes accessing my calendar and google docs less than optimal. It's still great and always in my purse.
